Role Overview

Vodacom is hiring an Account Executive based in East London to manage strategic key accounts, drive long-term revenue growth, and ensure exceptional service delivery. This role is vital in fostering high-value relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, enhancing customer satisfaction, and expanding Vodacom’s market share across its broad product and solution offerings.

This is a senior-level sales position focused on enterprise clients and offers a rewarding opportunity to engage with C-level decision-makers, design customized value propositions, and contribute to Vodacom’s strategic growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of account strategies to meet financial targets, including revenue, data/voice connections, and profitability

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels, including C-suite

  • Drive sales growth by identifying and converting new opportunities in existing and potential markets

  • Prepare and manage comprehensive account plans aligned with customer needs and Vodacom’s business strategy

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective service delivery, issue resolution, and strategic communication

  • Coordinate internal resources to meet client expectations and project timelines

  • Provide accurate forecasting and detailed sales reporting, including weekly/monthly run rates and annual budget plans

  • Deliver complex sales roadmaps for key opportunities and ensure that solutions align with client objectives

  • Take ownership of escalated service issues and assist finance in resolving overdue accounts

  • Track revenue assurance to ensure correct reporting of global client revenues

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification

  • Postgraduate qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Commerce is advantageous

  • At least 7 years of sales and service experience, preferably in telecommunications, ICT, or technology sectors

  • Proven success in portfolio and account management

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles and increasing customer satisfaction metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS)

Technical Competencies

  • Strong background in solution selling to enterprise customers

  • In-depth understanding of customer industries, market dynamics, and business strategies

  • Track record in managing multi-industry portfolios and driving revenue growth

  • Ability to influence C-level executives and develop tailored Vodacom Business proposals

  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and strategic account planning
