Role Overview

Vodacom offers two structured early career tracks for 2026:

1. Discover Graduate Programme (Permanent)

This 2-year leadership development programme is designed for recent graduates who are ready to grow through mentorship, coaching, formal learning, and real-world assignments. Graduates enjoy full-time employee benefits and, upon successful completion, are placed in long-term destination roles within Vodacom’s core business units. Exceptional performers may also be considered for international assignments across Vodacom and Vodafone markets.

2. Vodacom Internship Programme (12-month Fixed Term)

Aimed at unemployed graduates, this programme provides 12 months of hands-on experience. Interns receive a monthly stipend, targeted training, and access to networking opportunities with industry professionals. Many interns are considered for the Discover Graduate Programme or for direct entry into permanent roles post-internship.

Both tracks kick off on 1 February and 1 March 2026, offering selected candidates a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Vodacom’s innovative, high-performance environment.

Programme Requirements

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Age: 26 years old or younger

  • Citizenship: South African citizen (by birth/naturalisation) OR citizen of DRC, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Egypt, or Tanzania (for opportunities in those markets)

  • Academic Performance: Minimum of 65% average in completed or most recent academic results

  • Qualifications:

    • Minimum of B-Degree (BCom, BSc, or BTech) – NQF Level 7

    • A 3-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) will be accepted in the following disciplines only:

      • Electrical / Electronic Engineering

      • Computer Software Engineering

      • Information Systems / Information Technology

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have less than 2 years of post-study working experience for Graduate Programme

  • Must have 0–1 year of experience for Internship Programme
