Role Overview
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be a key driver in the architecture and continuous optimization of cloud platforms. You will work across teams to ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) practices are followed, automate deployments, enhance monitoring capabilities, and guide cloud migration strategies. Your expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP will be central to ensuring high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure

Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance

Create and maintain IaC templates using Terraform or CloudFormation

Develop CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment

Monitor system performance and availability using industry-leading tools

Conduct regular security reviews, penetration testing, and patch management

Collaborate with DevOps, Cybersecurity, and Application teams to implement best practices

Manage hybrid environments that include on-premise systems and cloud services

Optimize cloud costs using analytics tools and rightsizing techniques

Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and infrastructure staff
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum 5 years’ experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure architecture

Proven experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (multi-cloud experience preferred)

Certification in one or more platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Expert)

Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

Expertise in using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes

Experience implementing disaster recovery, security controls, and cost management tools
