This Admin Clerk role offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic logistics and distribution environment, supporting critical administrative and procurement functions at Dis-Chem’s Head Office in Midrand.

Role Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting for an Admin Clerk within the CJ Distribution team. The successful candidate will assist the CJ Specialty division with various administrative functions, ensuring operational accuracy and compliance with deadlines. This role requires a strong eye for detail, experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP), and the ability to handle procurement and logistics documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Functions

  • Maintain and update pricing data within the system

  • Monitor the daily picking and dispatching of customer orders

  • Liaise with relevant Distribution Centre departments to ensure timely order fulfillment

  • Track and trace deliveries using courier systems to ensure SLA compliance

  • Coordinate product sourcing and quote requests from suppliers

  • Support CJS administrative operations including dormant and expired stock management

  • Assist in compiling and listing new product articles

Customer Service

  • Respond to customer queries related to delivery times, PODs, and credits

  • Handle all order processing for new customer requests and quotes

  • Ensure customer credits are managed within SLA timeframes, including collection and tracking

  • Help expand the customer base by ensuring efficient service delivery

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in stock master file management

  • Assist in designing new processes and enhancing existing workflows for better operational efficiency

  • Support tactical projects involving suppliers and stakeholders

General Duties

  • Comply with Dis-Chem’s standard operating procedures and company policies

  • Follow all health and safety regulations applicable within a logistics setting

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate

  • Experience with SAP ERP/EWM systems

  • Background in procurement or purchasing processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
