Role Overview
The Store Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels, managing a skilled retail team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations. You will work closely with merchandising teams, suppliers, and senior management to ensure that your store operates according to company standards and exceeds performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Drive store performance and meet or exceed monthly sales targets

Lead, mentor, and manage all in-store staff with enthusiasm and integrity

Create and maintain a culture of exceptional customer service

Recruit, train, and assess employees to build a high-performing team

Set staff work schedules and monitor shift effectiveness

Supervise merchandising, stock control, and replenishment to maintain optimal inventory levels

Conduct daily floor walks to assess product displays and store readiness

Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally

Maintain accurate records of stock movement, sales transactions, and staff activities
-
Manage daily operational costs and minimise controllable expenses

Implement and enforce all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Execute in-store promotions, roadshows, and seasonal campaigns in collaboration with centre management

Coordinate external service providers such as security, cleaning, and logistics according to company expectations

Safeguard company assets and ensure loss prevention policies are strictly enforced

Monitor sales trends and provide feedback to head office to inform marketing and inventory strategies
Qualifications and Experience

Matric Certificate (Grade 12) is essential
-
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail environment, including at least 2 years in a store management or assistant management role

Strong understanding of retail operations, sales strategy, and team leadership

Must have own or reliable transport and be available to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed
