The Stellenbosch branch is looking to grow its technical team with a Part-Time Technical Support Consultant—an exciting opportunity for IT professionals passionate about customer service, Apple technology, and flexible working arrangements.

Role Overview

As a Technical Support Consultant, you will provide expert troubleshooting and support for all Apple hardware and software-related queries. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that iStore customers receive a seamless and professional after-sales experience. You’ll act as a first line of contact for technical issues, offering real-time solutions, software guidance, and training to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

This part-time role offers flexibility, with the option to work either 4 or 5 days a week, making it ideal for recent IT graduates, students completing further studies, or professionals seeking work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver front-line technical support and advice for Apple devices, systems, and software

  • Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, escalating more complex cases as necessary

  • Provide basic software training to customers, enhancing their knowledge of Apple products and usability

  • Maintain a customer-centric approach by ensuring satisfaction with all support provided

  • Assist with iStore repairs and service workflows, adhering to Apple-authorised service protocols

  • Collaborate with team members to manage ticketing systems and follow-up communications

  • Ensure all interactions are logged according to internal policies and documented for reporting purposes

  • Educate customers on product care, warranties, and available iStore services

  • Represent the brand with professionalism, tech fluency, and a solutions-driven mindset

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12) is required

  • A relevant IT qualification (minimum A+ and N+)

  • Prior experience in Helpdesk, IT Support, or 1st Line Technical Support (retail or customer-facing environments preferred)

  • Familiarity with Apple products and macOS/iOS platforms is highly advantageous

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
