Role Overview

Hinterland is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the Hinterland store environment in Reivilo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring accurate stock control, maintaining site cleanliness, and handling administrative duties. This is a critical role that supports the smooth functioning of store activities and contributes to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with previous experience in retail or warehouse operations who are looking to grow into a management role within a well-respected organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all store-related operations and ensure the store and site are maintained to company standards

• Manage and process Stapelkaarte documents for internal inventory tracking

• Take full responsibility for accurate and effective stock control, including receiving, storing, and issuing stock

• Maintain a safe and orderly warehouse environment to support business operations

• Manage and develop store staff to enhance performance, provide feedback, and ensure high morale

• Handle general administrative functions such as stock reconciliation, reporting, and internal communication

• Monitor the neatness and cleanliness of the store and surrounding premises

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements

• Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a retail or warehouse environment is required

• Education:

  • A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) is essential

• Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong stock control and inventory management knowledge

  • Staff supervision and leadership abilities

  • Good organizational and planning skills

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Computer literacy, including the ability to work with warehouse or inventory systems
