Role Overview
Montego Pet Nutrition is looking for a motivated and responsible General Worker (Driver’s Assistant) to join its distribution team in Ermelo. This role supports the efficient and safe loading and offloading of products, assists the driver during deliveries, and ensures adherence to stock handling and safety procedures. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong sense of accountability.
Key Responsibilities

Load and off-load products for both inbound and outbound logistics in accordance with company offloading procedures

Ensure that no damaged stock is delivered and that all returns are properly loaded

Assist the delivery driver during transportation, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate before departure

Keep the vehicle clean and tidy at all times, performing regular interior and exterior checks

Stack stock items and assist with picking and organizing inventory as required

Confirm and verify that the correct stock is delivered to the correct location or client

Identify any health and safety risks in the delivery process and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions

Perform any other reasonable tasks that are relevant to the smooth functioning of logistics and customer service operations
Job Requirements

National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification

A valid driver’s license and Professional Driving Permit (PDP) may be advantageous

Previous experience in a similar logistics, distribution, or warehouse assistant role is preferred

Familiarity with Montego Pet Nutrition’s products is an added advantage

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong listening ability

Reliable, punctual, and capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting and moving stock

Demonstrated understanding of occupational health and safety principles in an FMCG context
