Role Overview

Senwes Grainlink is currently looking for a General Worker to support operations at their Vredefort site. This entry-level, full-time permanent position is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, reliable, and eager to work in a structured and safety-driven environment.

The General Worker will perform a range of tasks including general cleaning, pest control assistance, grain handling, and support with maintenance duties. If you are hardworking and looking to build a career in the grain and silo industry, this is your opportunity to get started.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties in and around the silo facility, including the yard, bins, bunkers, buildings, and containers

• Assist with pest control spraying within silo bins, machines, and facilities to uphold hygiene and quality standards

• Support fumigation activities in grain bins and storage facilities as required

• Participate in bagging, organizing, and storing graded screenings

• Load and off-load grain (both in bulk and in bags) using manual or mechanical processes

• Provide assistance with general maintenance activities and basic mechanical tasks as directed

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, hygiene procedures, and operational guidelines

• Assist other team members in daily silo operations as required

Minimum Requirements

• Educational Level: Grade 10 minimum
  (Candidates who hold a National Senior Certificate/Matric will receive preference)

• Experience: No prior experience required – this is an ideal opportunity for entry-level candidates

• Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills

  • Physical stamina and willingness to work in outdoor and silo environments

  • Basic understanding or interest in the grain/agricultural industry

  • High attention to safety, cleanliness, and operational standards

  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
