Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Marketing Coordinator to join our Bellville team. In this pivotal role, you will support the marketing department in executing successful campaigns, events, market research, and branding activities. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of marketing best practices—especially within the FMCG or retail sector.
The Marketing Coordinator will also be instrumental in managing collateral, coordinating marketing materials, and analysing performance metrics to improve future initiatives. This is a full-time, permanent role that requires a versatile individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Management

Coordinate the execution of marketing campaigns aligned with strategic business goals

Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure campaign components are delivered on time

Manage budgets, track campaign expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources

Analyze and report on campaign performance, offering insights and actionable recommendations
2. Event Management

Plan and execute events such as store openings, product launches, trade shows, and activations
-
Handle all logistics, including promotional material, vendor coordination, and staff assignments

Ensure branding and messaging are consistent across all marketing touchpoints
3. Market Insights

Conduct consumer research via surveys and behavioural analysis

Track industry trends and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making

Utilize collected data to refine target audiences and improve marketing impact
4. Asset and Collateral Management
-
Oversee storage and distribution of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, banners, and signage
-
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of promotional items and reorder as necessary
-
Ensure materials are developed in line with brand guidelines and quality standards
5. Performance Analytics

Monitor and evaluate the success of campaigns using analytics tools and KPIs
-
Compile detailed reports and present them to marketing leadership
-
Offer recommendations to enhance future strategies based on performance insights
6. Administrative Support

Assist with budget administration, invoice processing, and financial record-keeping

Handle scheduling, correspondence, and documentation for the marketing team
Qualifications and Experience
-
Matric (Grade 12) and a marketing or related tertiary qualification
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar marketing role, preferably within FMCG or retail

Proficient in marketing principles, branding, and consumer behaviour

Valid driver’s license (travel to events and supplier meetings may be required)

Strong understanding of digital and traditional marketing platforms

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

High attention to detail with excellent organizational ability
