Role Overview

Sasol is offering an exciting 12-month learnership opportunity in Human Resources Administration, specifically targeting people living with disabilities. The programme aims to equip learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the HR function within a corporate environment.

Learners will participate in structured modules that cover essential workplace competencies while supporting HR operational functions across multiple business sites including Sandton, Secunda, and Sasolburg. This learnership offers the chance to gain real-world experience and build a solid foundation for a future HR career.

Programme Objectives and Curriculum

This NQF-aligned learnership blends classroom learning with on-the-job experience to prepare learners for full-time employment in the HR field. Key curriculum topics include:

  • Communication and Business Writing

  • Computer Literacy

  • Business Operations and Customer Service

  • Entrepreneurship and Business Accounting

  • Mathematics Literacy

During the practical component, learners will assist with administrative support in areas such as employee onboarding, data analytics, recruitment coordination, compliance, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing and executing HR services within the assigned client portfolio

  • Act as a point of contact for HR queries and ensure service delivery standards are met

  • Support HR data reporting, analytics, and compliance tracking

  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and staff movement procedures

  • Engage in change management processes and assist in the roll-out of new HR initiatives

  • Provide support for compensation and benefits procedures including benchmarking and equity analysis

  • Maintain accurate records and support statutory and regulatory HR compliance

  • Offer administrative support in talent management processes and systems

  • Contribute to the preparation of internal reports, analysis, and HR presentations

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric/Grade 12 is required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory

  • 0–1 year of experience in an HR or administrative support environment
