Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Cashier to join our dynamic team in Lenasia, Gauteng. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and play a critical role in delivering excellent service, handling transactions, and supporting overall restaurant operations. You will also assist in preparing quality menu items and maintaining hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the front-of-house and food service areas in accordance with Pedros’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

• Adhere strictly to food safety protocols and ensure all food handling complies with internal guidelines

• Prepare and serve menu items efficiently while maintaining speed of service

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Accurately process customer orders and handle payments via cash, card, and digital platforms

• Resolve customer queries and ensure a positive customer experience

• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain smooth day-to-day operations

• Support back-of-house staff during busy periods when required

Minimum Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Matric)

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant or fast-food environment

• Strong customer service orientation

• Good verbal communication skills

• High energy, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset

• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays

• Willingness to maintain high standards in cleanliness and food quality
