Role Overview

Ackermans is currently looking for a Store Planner to join the Girls Strategic Business Unit (SBU), specifically focusing on Younger Girls Outerwear. If you’re a data-savvy problem solver who thrives in a dynamic retail environment and has a passion for numbers, analytics, and planning, this role is for you. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving profitability and optimizing stock allocation across the store network, ensuring every location is perfectly aligned with customer demand and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately distribute seasonal stock across stores to drive optimal sales performance

  • Ensure efficient replenishment of seasonal and non-seasonal stock

  • Create and implement location plans to effectively cluster stores based on product categories

  • Develop replenishment profiles at a product level to maximize stock turnover

  • Contribute to seasonal planning, including inputs for visual merchandising

  • Analyze store-level performance and provide actionable insights to guide business decisions

  • Ensure new stores are stocked effectively from launch

  • Support stores by addressing and resolving any stock-related queries

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate – Compulsory

  • 2–3 years’ experience in store planning in a clothing retail environment

Preferred Experience

  • Background in store management or retail operations

  • Exposure to logistics and supply chain processes

  • Experience using planning systems like Location Planning, JDA Allocation Planning, and/or Just Enough

  • Previous experience in Outerwear product categories

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced level preferred)

Educational Advantage

  • National Diploma or Degree in Business/Retail Management, Accounting, or Finance
