Role Overview
As a Shop Assistant, you will be at the forefront of delivering an unforgettable shopping experience to customers. You’ll assist customers with product inquiries, ensure the store is well-merchandised, support promotional activities, and contribute to driving sales and profitability. Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional, personalized customer service to all store visitors

Address unique customer needs and assist with product recommendations

Handle customer inquiries both in-person and telephonically

Demonstrate and explain toys and baby products to potential buyers

Drive add-on sales and promote value-added services

Maintain product displays, correct pricing, and promotional signage

Execute merchandising and layout standards according to schedule

Participate in promotional campaign planning and execution

Provide feedback on product performance, stock movement, and customer trends

Conduct stock counts and assist with inventory control

Reduce stock losses and manage expenses in your area

Ensure compliance with all in-store operational policies and procedures

Maintain store cleanliness and presentation in accordance with company standards
Qualifications and Experience

Matric / Grade 12 Certificate is essential

Minimum of 6 months of retail experience in a customer-facing role

Reliable transport to work shifts (including weekends and holidays)
