Role Overview
BKB Ltd is currently looking to fill the position of Senior Clerk (Grain Storage Depot) at their facility in Bultfontein, Free State. This role is critical in ensuring the proper administration, safety, and grain quality management within the depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist services in collateral management, inventory control, and grain grading. The position requires someone with experience in grain handling and a strong understanding of silo and bunker operations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform accurate grading of grain commodities to meet quality and industry standards

Ensure inventory control and manage stock levels with precision

Deliver efficient and effective administration related to grain intake, movement, and storage
-
Monitor and ensure full health and safety compliance across the storage depot

Collaborate with team members to ensure the cleanliness, order, and functionality of the storage environment

Uphold operational excellence through timely documentation and reporting
-
Handle conflict and communicate effectively with depot staff, clients, and transporters
-
Move physically across bunkers and silo bags as part of operational inspections and tasks
Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 / Matric Certificate is essential

Completion of relevant grain handling or agricultural training courses is required

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in grain handling operations

Valid emergency and firefighting training will be a distinct advantage

Strong administrative and documentation capabilities

Proven track record in silo and depot operations
