Role Overview

As a Retail Associate, you’ll be the face of the store, interacting with customers, managing stock, operating tills, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The position is ideal for individuals looking to enter the retail world, gain hands-on experience, and grow into leadership positions like Store Supervisor or Manager in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with friendliness and professionalism

• Operate tills, scanners, and card machines efficiently and accurately

• Support daily store functions, including stock control, restocking shelves, and handling deliveries

• Ensure pricing and product displays are correct and updated

• Assist in general store upkeep, including cleanliness and merchandising

• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations

• Comply with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures

• Provide prompt and effective customer service, always placing the customer first

• Work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate is essential

• Experience working with retail electronics such as tills and scanners is an advantage

• Computer literacy and experience in stock control are desirable

• Proficiency in basic mathematics

• Willingness to undergo further training where necessary
