🍽️ Role Overview
As a Waiter at Empact Group, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, taking orders, communicating efficiently with kitchen staff, and ensuring a welcoming dining experience for all guests. This role requires a proactive individual with a professional demeanor, keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure setting.
You’ll be working at a professional site, supporting the dining team and ensuring that clients and guests receive a seamless service experience from the moment they arrive to when they leave.
✅ Key Responsibilities

Greet and escort guests to their tables with professionalism

Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations

Accurately take food and beverage orders and input into POS systems

Ensure timely and correct delivery of orders to tables

Monitor dining areas for cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance
-
Maintain table setups including linen, glassware, cutlery, and condiments
-
Handle payments, provide change, and process bills when necessary
-
Clear tables and transport dirty dishes back to the kitchen
-
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team on order specifics
-
Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and COVID-19 regulations
-
Collaborate with colleagues to meet service goals and guest expectations
🎓 Qualifications and Experience

Matric (Grade 12) is essential
-
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a hospitality or catering role as a Waiter/Waitress
-
Experience working in a hotel or fine dining environment is advantageous
-
Prior exposure to butler or housekeeping services will be a plus
