🎯 Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis in Edenvale (East Rand, Johannesburg). This is a short-term but crucial position to help maintain and reconcile accurate inventory records through system checks, gate validations, and the review of camera footage. If you are meticulous, analytical, and skilled in stock reconciliation, we invite you to be a key part of our operational excellence.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Ensure all stock movements—including purchase orders, transfers, write-offs, and credits—are accurately recorded and reconciled

Compare stock records with actual gate activity and verify with camera footage

Identify discrepancies between documentation, system logs, and physical movements

Conduct root cause analysis to resolve stock mismatches and implement corrective action

Maintain accurate logs of reconciliation activities, including supporting documentation and resolutions

Communicate effectively with warehouse, procurement, and finance teams
-
Address errors in invoices and ensure timely resolution and documentation of corrected records

Maintain a register of missing or unsigned invoices and follow up on outstanding PODs

Manage stock adjustments due to damage, expiry, or errors

Perform physical stock recounts when needed to validate system entries

Generate detailed outbound stock movement reports using camera footage

Organize and maintain video footage for stock verification and audit readiness

Conduct random full-load checks to ensure compliance with loading protocols

Adhere to workplace health and safety standards, using appropriate PPE
-
Participate in operational meetings and training sessions to align with team objectives

Continuously contribute to improving inventory control systems and reporting accuracy
📚 Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar stock clerk or inventory control role

FMCG Retail experience is highly preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail
