Role Overview

As the Senior Brand Manager: Culinary, you will lead the development and execution of brand plans that meet and exceed consumer expectations. Reporting to the Marketing Manager or Director, your role will involve spearheading brand strategy, product innovation, consumer communication, and market analysis across the culinary category.

You will be expected to turn insights into winning brand propositions, lead cross-functional teams, drive market share growth, and optimize performance against KPIs such as revenue, brand health, and return on investment (ROI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate marketing data and insights into actionable brand strategies that align with company objectives

  • Lead the execution of Category Strategy, Channel and Pricing Strategy, Promotions Planning, and Product Innovation

  • Track and report on brand performance metrics, including volume, value, and gross margin

  • Lead innovation projects by defining product and packaging solutions and supporting trade and consumer communication

  • Work closely with Consumer Insights to develop data-informed brand strategies

  • Manage creative agencies to deliver above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) campaigns

  • Set pricing based on brand positioning, market insights, and revenue optimization principles

  • Oversee day-to-day brand management functions, including S&OP forecasting, media planning, promotions tracking, budget management, and brand health monitoring

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Science (BBusSc), Commerce (BCom), or Marketing

  • 4+ years of experience in brand or marketing management within an FMCG environment

  • Proven success in brand growth, innovation, and cross-functional project management

  • Demonstrated expertise in market analysis, brand health tracking, and consumer insights

  • Deep understanding of route-to-market dynamics in modern and general trade

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and financial acumen

  • High proficiency in developing and executing go-to-market strategies
