Role Overview
The Product Consultant plays a crucial role in enhancing product visibility, managing the customer rental experience, ensuring inventory compliance, and growing the customer base through strategic in-store engagements. This is a field-based role suited for individuals with strong sales acumen, a solid understanding of renewable energy products, and the ability to deliver service excellence at the point of customer interaction. Candidates should be experienced in commission-based retail environments and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience Management

Oversee the customer vetting and registration process efficiently

Manage product rental procedures and ensure a smooth customer experience

Gather customer feedback and suggestions to enhance the service model

Build relationships and respond proactively to queries and requests
Inventory Management

Monitor and manage inventory storage, equipment maintenance, and device charging

Track equipment usage and availability across sites

Ensure accountability for all rental devices and tools in line with company policy
Compliance and Standards Monitoring

Enforce brand compliance and on-site standards

Ensure adherence to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) regulations

Escalate and resolve non-compliance issues promptly

Maintain up-to-date records and report performance against key KPIs
Reporting and Insights Delivery

Submit detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on customer engagements and sales activities

Provide actionable insights on what strategies are effective in-store

Highlight recurring customer concerns or operational inefficiencies

Escalate red flags and urgent site-based issues for immediate resolution
Administration and Internal Coordination

Capture customer data and sales reports accurately for business review

Identify operational challenges and recommend corrective actions

Maintain accurate documentation for audits and service tracking

Support back-office administration and ensure communication flow between field and office teams
Minimum Requirements

Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
-
2–3 years’ experience in commission-based retail sales

Proven track record in customer-facing roles within fast-paced environments

Understanding of renewable energy products and clean energy solutions is advantageous

Salary and Contract Terms
