Role Overview

The Loading Bay Assistant will be based in Rosebank, Cape Town, and is a hands-on position within the logistics and warehousing segment of Starke Ayres. This role is crucial to ensuring the effective handling of products from delivery to distribution. As part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for maintaining the loading bay area, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring accurate and safe loading of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the accurate and safe loading of goods for outgoing deliveries

• Support the unloading and organization of incoming stock

• Accompany the driver on deliveries where manual assistance is needed

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the loading bay and company vehicle

• Assist with watering plants in retail and display areas as needed

• Repack and restock merchandise to ensure an orderly presentation of goods

• Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures at all times

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate is required

• Prior experience in a warehouse, retail, or loading bay environment will be advantageous

• Must reside in or near Rosebank, Cape Town, with reliable daily transport

• Physically fit and able to lift moderate to heavy goods

• A team player with good communication skills and a positive work ethic

• Ability to follow instructions accurately and complete tasks efficiently
