Role Overview
As an Intern Estate Agent based in Sunningdale and Parklands, you will receive mentorship while gaining real-world experience in the residential property sector. This is a sales-based, commission-driven role where your earning potential is directly tied to your performance. The primary focus will be on marketing, listing, and selling properties, while building lasting relationships with buyers and sellers.
Candidates must live in the Sunningdale or Parklands area and should have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and own laptop. Because this is a commission-only position, applicants must be able to financially sustain themselves during the first few months as they build their client base.
Key Responsibilities

Market and sell residential properties within Sunningdale and Parklands

List properties by conducting valuations and completing mandate documents

Promote listings via online portals, social media, and physical show days

Engage potential buyers, understand their needs, and match them with appropriate properties

Handle negotiations and complete sales transactions in a professional manner

Perform Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) to assess property values

Maintain strong relationships with mortgage originators, conveyancing attorneys, and other professionals

Remain informed on current market trends, legal changes, and real estate practices

Collaborate with mentors and full-status agents to achieve team and personal targets
Qualifications and Experience
To become a registered and fully qualified real estate agent in South Africa, you must complete the following:

Register with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA)

Apply and pay for your Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC)
-
Enroll in and complete the NQF Level 4 Real Estate qualification

Compile a detailed Logbook of your practical learning experience

Pass the Professional Designation Exam (PDE)
Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Personal laptop or tablet and smartphone

Must reside in or near Sunningdale or Parklands, Cape Town

Must be able to financially support yourself for 6–8 months until you start earning commission
