🎯 Role Overview
Econo Foods is looking for a reliable and experienced Code 10 Delivery Driver with a valid PDP to join our Edenvale team. This is a crucial position in ensuring timely, safe, and professional delivery of goods to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting pre-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records, ensuring clean truck conditions, and delivering excellent customer service while adhering to company and traffic regulations.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a Code 10 vehicle and adhere to road safety and traffic regulations

Conduct daily pre-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness of the truck

Accurately deliver and offload goods to designated destinations on time

Maintain proper documentation such as delivery receipts, trip sheets, and mileage logs

Report any vehicle issues or mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel immediately

Uphold cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle at all times

Communicate professionally with clients, warehouse personnel, and supervisors
-
Follow established routes and schedules while maintaining high delivery accuracy

Address client concerns or queries in a respectful and professional manner

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety protocols

Participate in regular operational meetings and training sessions

Contribute to overall team performance and efficiency

Keep updated with company policies and comply with the Code of Conduct
📚 Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant delivery driving experience, preferably within the FMCG Retail sector
-
Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

Clean driving record with proven reliability
-
Familiarity with Johannesburg routes and surrounding areas is highly advantageous
