🍽️ Role Overview
As a Cook at Empact Group, your primary responsibility will be the preparation of meals for daily kitchen operations. You will ensure all food is prepared in compliance with safety and hygiene standards and is of high quality to meet client expectations. You will contribute to the overall success of the kitchen team and work closely with kitchen supervisors, food service assistants, and catering managers to ensure smooth operations.

Prepare food for daily production and service in line with menu cycles

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health standards

Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen

Follow standard recipes, portion control, and plating instructions

Prepare special diets and meal requests where applicable

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Minimise food waste and assist with stock rotation
🎓 Qualifications and Experience

Matric (Grade 12) is essential

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Cook in a contract catering or institutional environment

Professional Cookery Certificate is an advantage

Experience in hotel kitchens or large-scale catering will be beneficial

Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety regulations

Previous customer service experience is required
