We are currently looking for a Security Checker to join our BUCO Komatipoort branch. 🔍 Role Overview
The Security Checker plays a critical role in loss prevention, access control, and ensuring that all stock leaving the premises is properly authorized. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, particularly those with retail or hardware industry experience.
📋 Key Responsibilities

Inspect all goods leaving the shop or yard, confirming quantities and paperwork

Ensure that sales and return transactions match supporting documentation
-
Confirm that cash customers have paid in full before goods leave the premises

Ensure credit customers sign Proof of Delivery (POD) notes
-
Conduct vehicle checks before entry, noting all items onboard
-
Manage boom gates and oversee vehicle access control
-
Report suspicious behaviour or theft risks immediately to management

Complete the visitor register daily, ensuring accurate data entry

Adhere to all security policies, protocols, and company procedures

Always maintain professional conduct and arrive punctually at your post
🎓 Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric

At least 1 year of experience in a hardware or retail environment

Familiarity with basic security procedures and documentation

Clear criminal record and strong integrity
