The Sales Clerk will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing product sales, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring that stock is accurately received and priced. 📋 Key Responsibilities

Serve and advise walk-in customers effectively and efficiently

Promote upselling opportunities by recommending complementary products

Monitor and control stock levels for paint and related items

Receive stock, verify quantities, and check for any discrepancies

Price newly received stock accurately before displaying

Conduct regular daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts

Ensure that shelves are properly stocked and clean at all times

Report low stock or irregularities to procurement in a timely manner

Provide expert assistance on paint products and mixing options

Apply company sales procedures and standards in every transaction
📚 Minimum Requirements
Education:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Work Experience:
-
2–3 years of experience working with paint products in a retail environment

Proven ability to mix paint accurately and assist clients in selecting finishes

Experience in managing stock and pricing in a hardware or retail store is advantageous
🛠️ Technical Competencies

Knowledge of AFGRI Retail’s product range, especially paints and accessories

Computer literacy with POS and basic inventory systems

Ability to explain technical aspects of paint mixing and application

Knowledge of standard retail operating policies and procedures

Familiarity with stock-taking processes and inventory reporting
