📈 Role Overview
The Sales and Marketing Manager will take strategic leadership of the hotel’s marketing and sales operations. This senior role involves creating and delivering integrated sales campaigns, managing customer acquisition strategies, handling brand reputation and public relations, and ensuring strong market positioning in both the local and international hospitality sectors. The successful candidate will also oversee a talented marketing team and manage vital stakeholder relationships to drive revenue performance and long-term business growth.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans for local and international markets

Lead and grow a high-performing sales and marketing team to meet revenue goals

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to influence brand direction

Manage the hotel’s public relations strategy, social media, and media engagement

Build and execute brand positioning and reactivation campaigns
-
Oversee customer retention and loyalty programs to enhance client lifecycle value
-
Champion the hotel’s content strategy to ensure brand alignment across all platforms

Deliver performance reports, forecasts, and ROI analysis on all marketing efforts

Coordinate with suppliers, sponsors, and business partners for joint initiatives
-
Ensure adherence to POPIA, CPA, and all relevant marketing and privacy legislation
-
Act as the crisis communication lead in business continuity and brand safety scenarios
-
Drive VIP customer engagement strategies and nurture key client relationships
-
Monitor campaign performance across multimedia and digital channels

Manage departmental budgets, cost efficiencies, and capex planning
🎓 Qualifications and Experience
Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications or an equivalent qualification
Experience:
-
10–12 years of progressive experience in marketing, with a minimum of 5 years at management level

Strong track record in hotel or leisure industry marketing, including PR and brand strategy
-
Proven ability to lead digital and social media marketing campaigns

Experience in managing media relations and reputation management
-
Exposure to event planning, sponsorships, and large-scale hospitality promotions
