We’re currently seeking an experienced Parts Salesperson to join our Pietermaritzburg team and drive customer satisfaction, accurate sales processing, and effective parts administration.
🧾 Role Overview
The Parts Salesperson will manage over-the-counter parts sales, ensuring a smooth flow of stock and transactions. This position requires someone with hands-on sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage inventory control, customer relationships, and administrative duties efficiently.
🔧 Key Responsibilities

Conduct over-the-counter parts sales to walk-in and call-in clients
-
Order stock as per branch guidelines to ensure consistent availability

Perform stock control, rotation, and periodic stock counts
-
Process all sales, returns, and customer transactions according to company procedures
-
Maintain accurate pricing and records of stock movement
-
Handle payment processing including cash, EFTs, and credit card transactions
-
Address and resolve customer complaints and queries in a timely manner
-
Ensure stock is safely stored and that health and safety protocols are followed

Build and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
-
Ensure cash is balanced daily and payment reports are accurate
📚 Minimum Requirements
Education:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Experience:
-
Minimum of 1 year in sales and administration
-
Parts sales experience is essential
💻 Technical Skills and Knowledge

Solid product knowledge related to parts and components

Proficiency in MS Office and stock management systems
-
Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash-up procedures

Valid driver’s licence required
