The General Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the yard, wash bay, and customer service areas. This position is suited for an entry-level candidate who is physically fit, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys working in a hands-on, team-focused environment.
📦 Key Responsibilities

Assist with loading and offloading of goods for both customers and delivery vehicles

Provide quick and efficient assistance to walk-in clients and delivery drivers

Keep all yard stock items and store shelves neatly packed, clean, and accessible

Ensure that all vehicles are clean and loaded safely, following health and safety protocols

Support customers and suppliers with joinery or workshop-related needs when required

Complete wash bay duties such as vehicle cleaning and maintenance support

Maintain a clean and organized store environment at all times

Uphold and promote BUCO’s values, professionalism, and service-first attitude
📚 Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate

Basic product knowledge in building materials, tools, or related hardware would be an advantage

Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects

Willing to work in an outdoor or warehouse setting

Strong communication and teamwork skills
