💼 Role Overview

Deloitte is hiring a Data Architect (AWS Focus) to join its fast-growing Cloud Data and AI Consulting practice. In this strategic client-facing role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing modern, scalable, and cloud-native data architectures using AWS technologies.

This role involves collaboration with AWS Solution Architects, client enterprise teams, and internal delivery squads to design optimal architectures that accelerate digital transformation. You’ll be expected to blend technical expertise with strong business acumen to drive strategic data initiatives for high-value clients across industries.

🧰 Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client engagements focusing on AWS-based data architecture.

• Design and deploy data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines using AWS (Redshift, Glue, S3, RDS, etc.).

• Apply enterprise data modelling techniques such as Kimball, Data Vault, and Inmon.

• Develop strategic data roadmaps aligned with client business goals.

• Create reference architectures and reusable solution blueprints.

• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

• Conduct workshops and present technical recommendations to client stakeholders.

• Enable real-time analytics by integrating AWS data platforms with visualization tools like Power BI and Amazon QuickSight.

• Drive cloud data migration and modernization projects from legacy systems.

• Hands-on experience with Python, ETL development, and data governance frameworks.

• Integration experience with Power BI and other visualization platforms.

• Experience with data migration and modernization efforts in cloud environments.

🧪 Technical Skills – Nice to Have

• Exposure to generative AI tools like AWS Bedrock and SageMaker.

• Familiarity with LLM integration, vector databases, and embedding models.

• Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT) or equivalent automation frameworks.

• Knowledge of Amazon QuickSight for advanced dashboarding.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).

• AWS Certified Data Engineer Associate certification.

• Power BI certification is a plus.

• 5–8 years of experience in data architecture roles with emphasis on client delivery.

• 5+ years of direct experience with AWS Data and Analytics services.

• 2+ years of experience in Power BI development.

• Prior experience in management consulting or professional services preferred.
