We are currently seeking a Creditors Clerk to join our team in the Northern Suburbs (Cape). This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers stability and growth potential for the right finance professional.
Role Overview
The Creditors Clerk will play a critical role in managing the company’s accounts payable function. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, maintaining financial records, and ensuring the timely payment of all obligations. Key Responsibilities

Process supplier invoices accurately and ensure timely data entry

Verify each invoice against purchase orders and delivery documentation

Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledgers for assigned vendors

Handle supplier inquiries and resolve payment-related discrepancies professionally

Collaborate with procurement and receiving departments to validate records

Assist in preparing weekly and monthly payment runs and remittance schedules

Conduct regular audits of accounts payable processes to ensure internal compliance

Maintain accurate documentation for all creditor transactions and audits

Flag overdue accounts or potential cash flow concerns for management review
Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) is essential

A Diploma in Finance or Accounting is strongly preferred

Proven experience as a Creditors Clerk, Accounts Payable Administrator, or similar role

Sound understanding of accounts payable processes, reconciliations, and general ledger operations

Familiarity with financial systems and ERP platforms is advantageous

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
