🚀 About the Role
Are you an expert in managing and optimizing cloud costs across large-scale environments? Deloitte is seeking a dynamic Cloud FinOps Consultant to join its Risk Advisory team. In this client-facing role, you’ll enable enterprises to adopt FinOps best practices, enhance cloud financial governance, and drive accountability and cost transparency across cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
As a Cloud FinOps Consultant, you’ll work closely with stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical and financial teams while developing strategic solutions for sustainable cloud financial management.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

Lead FinOps strategies aligned with client business objectives

Perform cloud cost assessments and deliver optimization roadmaps

Drive cost visibility via showback/chargeback models and dashboards
-
Establish cloud governance processes, tagging strategies, and policies
-
Implement and leverage cost management tools like CloudHealth, Apptio, and native cloud billing solutions
-
Guide clients on rightsizing, elasticity, reserved instances, and resource planning
-
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cloud financial accountability
-
Develop financial reports and present actionable insights to leadership
-
Build long-term client relationships and provide continuous advisory

📜 Qualifications

A 4-year degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field

FinOps Certified Practitioner (required)

Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Experience with FinOps framework implementation
-
4+ years of experience in cloud cost optimization and financial governance
-
Strong knowledge of financial metrics (ROI, TCO, NPV, etc.)
