🧾 Role Overview

The Officer, Confirmations Structured role sits within the Global Markets Operations function and plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and compliance of the trading process. You will be responsible for drafting and dispatching trade confirmations for derivative transactions, ensuring regulatory alignment, resolving trade discrepancies, and maintaining clear communication between internal teams and external trading counterparties.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• ✉️ Confirmation Drafting & Dispatching

  • Prepare accurate and timely confirmations for derivative transactions.

  • Ensure that all documentation is compliant with regulatory and internal standards.

• 🔍 Trade Validation & Reconciliation

  • Verify trade data for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies with the trading desk, counterparties, or support teams.

  • Ensure integrity in transaction reporting and maintain high attention to detail.

• 🤝 Internal & External Collaboration

  • Liaise with traders, legal teams, and other operations departments to maintain smooth and compliant workflows.

  • Foster a collaborative approach to resolving operational issues quickly.

• 💡 Process Optimization & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to improve confirmation workflows and support automation initiatives.

  • Participate in innovation projects and contribute ideas to streamline back-office processes.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Educational Requirement:

• Matric (Senior Certificate)

• A Degree or Diploma in Financial Administration or certificates in Financial Markets will be an advantage.

Experience Required:

• 1 to 3 years in financial services, particularly within Confirmations or Derivatives Operations

• Understanding of financial instruments, global markets, and regulatory compliance

• Experience working in high-volume trade environments is a plus
