As we expand our national footprint, we’re looking for a proactive and organized Logistics Administrator to join our Distribution Centre team in Polokwane and support our supply chain excellence.

📦 Role Overview

The Logistics Administrator will act as the key liaison between the Distribution Centre (DC) and our national network of stores, ensuring that all logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role includes managing documents, coordinating deliveries, data capturing, and monitoring driver and vehicle activity while supporting the broader logistics and supply chain teams.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the communication hub between DC and stores, responding swiftly to inquiries and requests per SOPs

  • Liaise with internal departments and uphold company values and leadership principles

  • Collect, reconcile, and verify invoices from the Accounts Department against delivery schedules

  • Manage nightshift operations: process batch pick slips, plan trips, prepare driver packs, and verify signatures and documentation

  • Capture and process customer orders/B2Bs on the sales order report

  • Monitor WhatsApp Store Groups for DC queries, escalate issues, and provide timely updates on Vehicle ETAs and poultry claims

  • Track and escalate special store requests and seal discrepancies; monitor empty lug returns

  • Capture claims, shortages, and order discrepancies using internal documentation tools

  • Perform general administrative duties, including creating trip sheets, filing, and updating trackers

  • Coordinate truck maintenance scheduling and assist in driver and vehicle monitoring

  • Maintain logistics software systems and analyze logistics data to identify efficiency trends

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth supply chain execution

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12) required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (advantageous)

  • Previous experience in a logistics administrator or similar role within a distribution environment

  • Deep knowledge of transportation, inventory management, and logistics coordination

  • Proficiency with logistics/inventory software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
