🛠️ Role Overview

The Workshop Foreman will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, and managing both technical and administrative aspects of the business unit. This leadership role involves supervising artisans and technicians, allocating duties, handling warranty claims, and guaranteeing that all mechanical repairs and servicing meet the company’s stringent quality benchmarks. The role is ideal for a technically skilled individual with strong leadership abilities, particularly someone with experience working on agricultural machinery such as New Holland tractors.

📋 Key Responsibilities

The Workshop Foreman will check and verify the quality of mechanical work performed on agricultural vehicles and equipment, ensuring all tasks meet or exceed TWK Agri’s quality and safety standards. You will be expected to conduct thorough inspections of completed tasks, monitor and direct the performance of artisans and technicians, and take charge of the entire job allocation process within the workshop. Overseeing daily administrative functions will also form a crucial part of this role, ensuring all repair records, job cards, and warranty documentation are up to date and accurate. Additionally, you will manage service delivery timelines, handle client communications and queries, and work towards enhancing customer satisfaction through efficiency and professionalism. Handling warranty claims, maintaining a well-structured workflow, and developing strong working relationships with both clients and assessors are key to success in this role.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have a Matric / Grade 12 certificate as a minimum educational requirement. A Red Seal qualification as a Diesel Mechanic is essential. Prior experience in a supervisory or Workshop Foreman position is required, and knowledge of New Holland tractors or similar agricultural equipment will be considered a significant advantage. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be production-oriented, and capable of working under pressure. Experience in handling warranty processes, along with a track record of successfully managing mechanical teams, will be highly valued.
