As a Cashier at TWK Agri, you will be the first point of contact for customers entering the store. 📋 Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will handle a wide range of daily cashier duties including greeting customers warmly upon entry and exit, scanning merchandise, and computing accurate totals for customer purchases. You will be responsible for receiving payments via cash or card, issuing correct change and receipts, and preparing packages for shipment or customer pick-up. Your duties will also involve counting money in drawers at the start and end of shifts, wrapping coins and sorting notes, and ensuring there is sufficient change available throughout the day. Additionally, the cashier will be expected to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the checkout area, stock shelves, and participate in regular stock takes to support inventory control efforts. Accuracy, attentiveness, and great interpersonal communication will be essential to maintaining customer satisfaction and store performance.
🎓 Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Matric / Grade 12 certificate. Prior experience as a cashier in a retail or agricultural trading environment is preferred but not mandatory.
