We are on the lookout for three Betting Risk Analysts to join our Risk and Integrity team. If you have a sharp analytical mind, deep knowledge of horse racing and sports betting, and a passion for maintaining operational integrity, this role is tailored for you.
📌 Role Overview
As a Betting Risk Analyst, your primary mission will be to identify and mitigate betting risks by auditing manually resulted and cancelled events, analyzing fraud trends, and ensuring odds creation and event pricing are accurate and secure. This is a critical role in maintaining the reputation and financial security of the brand.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Review and validate a daily sample of manually resulted betting events

Audit manually cancelled events for procedural accuracy and risk exposure

Investigate anomalies or signs of suspicious betting activity flagged in risk reports

Monitor event creation, pricing, and result accuracy across all betting platforms

Stay current with all system updates related to betting operations and risk mitigation

Assist in strengthening betting operational procedures to reduce company exposure

Maintain complete confidentiality and impartiality at all times

Recommend and develop new strategies to identify and reduce potential betting risks

Collaborate with internal departments to implement auditing best practices

Facilitate risk-related workshops and training when required
🎓 Minimum Requirements

Computer literate with strong Excel and reporting capabilities

Solid understanding of sports and horse racing bookmaking
-
Excellent analytical and observational skills
➕ Advantageous Qualifications and Experience

1–2 years of experience in auditing, risk analysis, or sports bookmaking

Studying towards or completed a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management, or related field

Valid South African driver’s license
