📋 Role Overview
As a Storeman, you will be responsible for receiving, issuing, and storing goods accurately. Your duties include updating stock records, ensuring proper inventory storage, retrieving parts as per requirements, and maintaining orderly documentation. You will play a critical part in supporting workshop operations and ensuring all materials are available for smooth workflow.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
• Receive, store, and issue goods based on requisitions while recording transactions
• Update stock sheets daily with issues and receipts for accurate stock tracking
• Identify and retrieve components required for parts lists, microfilm, etc.
• Maintain secure, organized, and accounted stock storage
• Facilitate daily movement of goods in line with warehouse processes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and correct stock availability
• Assist in maintaining a clean, compliant, and safe work environment
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and service providers
📚 Minimum Requirements
Education:
• Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
• Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field will be an advantage
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or storekeeping role
• Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Core Competencies:
• Effective planning and resource organization
• Accurate stock control and problem-solving ability
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to manage relationships with internal customers and suppliers
• Time management and accountability in handling stock records
