Role Overview
The OCJ is hiring for multiple Registrar positions at High Courts nationwide. Registrars are integral to the functioning of the judicial system. They manage court processes, safeguard court records, and support judges in administering justice. This is an ideal opportunity for qualified legal professionals looking to serve the public within the core of South Africa’s judicial system.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all court-related processes and judicial administration.

Compile and issue court orders, records, and judgments.

Assist judicial officers in executing courtroom and administrative duties.

Safeguard court documents and maintain legal records accurately and securely.

Manage appeals and applications in line with procedural rules.

Act as an intermediary between legal practitioners and court administration.

Supervise support staff and ensure professional conduct in line with public service regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
-
LLB degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent legal qualification recognized by SAQA.

Admission as an Attorney or Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.

A minimum of 2–3 years of post-admission legal experience, preferably in litigation, judicial support, or legal administration.

Understanding of court procedures, civil and criminal rules, and judicial operations.
