Role Overview
Fraser Alexander is currently seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join their team as General Workers in Gauteng. This position is crucial to supporting various site-based operational tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of general on-site activities. The General Worker role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are physically fit, safety-conscious, and looking to develop their skills in a professional mining services environment.
This is a contract-based opportunity ideal for individuals with a hands-on mindset and the willingness to contribute meaningfully to the companyβs day-to-day operations. Successful candidates will assist with site housekeeping, safety practices, and other general tasks that maintain the smooth and safe running of operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Performing general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and orderly work environment on site.

Attending daily pre-shift meetings and participating in risk assessments to remain informed about potential hazards and operational updates.

Ensuring all tools and equipment used are maintained in a safe and functional condition.

Identifying and reporting unsafe conditions or behaviour immediately to management to uphold safety standards.

Liaising with management regarding work-related tasks, equipment, and updates on operational matters.

Complying fully with all relevant Health and Safety legislation, site protocols, and operational procedures as outlined by Fraser Alexander.

Supporting site staff and supervisors with other ad hoc duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric Certificate) is required.
Experience Required
-
1 to 2 years of practical experience working in a Tailings or mining environment is strongly preferred. Prior exposure to high-risk industrial environments will be advantageous.
