Role Overview
As a Senior Customer Service Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that stock deliveries from the Distribution Centre are executed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will serve as a liaison between transporters, store managers, and regional teams, coordinating logistics schedules and solving delivery-related queries. Your goal: keep Boxer stores stocked and our customers satisfied.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) – essential

A 2-year diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Retail Management is advantageous

Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics or customer service environment

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Solid understanding of FMCG retail supply chain operations

Experience in warehouse logistics planning

Strong numerical and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities
📦 Delivery Schedule Coordination
-
Verify transporter schedules and delivery times
-
Share accurate ETAs with store managers to assist with planning
-
Cross-check data and ensure communication of all logistics details
📊 Pallet Estimation & Order Planning
-
Use BOMM system to retrieve orders
-
Estimate pallet volumes and advise on appropriate truck size
-
Share pallet spreadsheets with transporters and ensure collection documentation is in order
📞 Communication & Stakeholder Management
-
Act as the communication bridge between stores, regional managers, and DC operations
-
Resolve delivery-related issues quickly and efficiently
-
Update stakeholders on the status of deliveries, special requests, and exceptions
🚚 Transporter Liaison

Manage communication with transport partners regarding orders, ETAs, and delays
-
Confirm delivery arrangements and follow up on late or outstanding deliveries
📈 Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor order cut-off times and flag late submissions

Plan ahead for stores that meet order submission deadlines

Prepare regular reports on delivery performance and logistics KPIs
📋 JABS Allocation & Picking Support

Generate and consolidate store orders

Ensure timely order printing and submission for warehouse picking
