Role Overview
The General Worker role at Boxer Superstores is essential to the smooth and efficient operation of our Lynnfield Distribution Centre. As a General Worker, you will be involved in various warehouse tasks to ensure stock is handled correctly and prepared for delivery to stores. In addition to General Workers, there are other roles available, such as Pickers, Forklift Operators, Reach Truck Operators, Cycle Counters, Auditors, and Combiners. Each of these roles contributes to the overall functioning of the warehouse and ensures our supply chain is efficient and effective.

Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for the General Worker position at Boxer Superstores, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification is required

0-2 years of warehouse experience – The role assigned will depend on your experience in warehouse operations

Forklift or Reach Truck license is required for roles involving operating forklifts or reach trucks

Proficiency in Excel is advantageous, especially for stock and inventory management tasks

Willingness to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, including Sundays and public holidays
In addition to the above requirements, we are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong attention to detail. The warehouse environment can be busy, and we need individuals who can work as part of a team and contribute positively to achieving daily objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a General Worker at Boxer Superstores, you will be assigned to various tasks, depending on your experience and training. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

General Worker: Assisting in ensuring that overstocked, damaged, or short-dated stock is returned to the distribution centre in a timely manner to maintain accurate stock levels.

Picker: Picking stock according to store orders and picking slips, ensuring the correct items are selected and prepared for delivery.

Cycle Counter: Tracking stock quantities within the warehouse to ensure inventory levels are accurate and up to date.

Forklift Driver: Operating a forklift to load and offload trucks, and moving and stacking pallets efficiently.

Reach Truck Driver: Operating a reach truck to stack pallets on high racks and ensure efficient storage.

Auditor: Conducting stock counts, checking for damage, and ensuring that stock expiry dates are monitored and accurate before dispatching items to stores.

Combiner: Combining products on pallets and shrink-wrapping them before they are delivered to stores for sale.
