Role Overview
At Boxer Superstores, we offer various roles within our warehouse operations that are designed to support the overall supply chain function. These roles include General Workers, Picker, Forklift Drivers, Reach Truck Operators, Cycle Counters, Auditors, and Combiners. Each of these roles plays a vital part in ensuring that the products are stored, tracked, and dispatched correctly to meet the demands of our stores across the region.
As a General Worker, you will assist with several key tasks, such as receiving and sorting products, ensuring stock is correctly stored and labelled, and assisting with various warehouse duties that support the efficient operation of the distribution centre. This position is crucial to ensuring that stock is ready for picking, loading, and delivery.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for a role at our East London Distribution Centre, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) is essential

0-2 years of warehouse experience – The specific role you are offered will be determined based on your prior experience in warehouse operations

Forklift or Reach Truck license is required for roles such as Forklift or Reach Truck Driver

Proficiency in Excel is advantageous as it helps with various inventory and stock management tasks

You must be available to work on day shifts, night shifts, and weekends, including Sundays and public holidays

As a General Worker at Boxer Superstores, you will have the following duties and responsibilities, depending on the role assigned to you:

General Worker: You will assist in ensuring all overstocked, damaged, and short-dated stock is returned to the distribution centre promptly. This task involves maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.

Picker: You will be responsible for accurately picking stock for stores based on picking slips, ensuring that the right products are selected and prepared for transport.

Cycle Counter: This role involves tracking stock quantities in the warehouse, ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date for seamless operations.

Forklift Driver: If you are a licensed forklift driver, you will be responsible for loading and offloading trucks, moving pallets, and ensuring stock is stacked efficiently within the warehouse.

Reach Truck Driver: Operating a reach truck, you will move and stack pallets on high racks, assisting in the proper organization and storage of products within the distribution centre.

Auditor: As an auditor, your primary responsibility will be to count stock, verify any damage, and ensure that expiry dates are accurate before dispatching products to stores.

Combiner: In this role, you will combine stock on pallets, shrink-wrap them, and prepare them for delivery to stores, ensuring that the products are ready for distribution.
