Key Responsibilities
Customer Service

Provide friendly and helpful service to all customers.

Assist with product inquiries and offer advice to ensure customer satisfaction.

Address and resolve customer complaints or escalate them to the Store Manager when necessary.
Merchandising Standards

Ensure all merchandise in your designated area is properly displayed according to the store’s layout and planograms.

Maintain accurate and visible shelf pricing labels.

Replenish shelves and displays promptly with newly received stock.
Housekeeping
-
Maintain cleanliness and order in your assigned area to prevent hazards and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Ensure aisles are clear of obstacles and safe for customer navigation.

Assist with hygiene checks for store facilities including canteen and toilets.
Health & Safety (OHSA Compliance)

Follow all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of safety gear.

Monitor the safety of stock placement in bulk areas to prevent injuries or accidents.

Promptly report any safety hazards or damaged infrastructure to the Store Manager.
Stock Loss Management

Identify and report damaged or faulty stock items in your area.

Ensure that stock is securely and neatly merchandised to prevent shrinkage or theft.
Operational Excellence

Consistently meet performance targets and adhere to the company’s quality standards.

Complete assigned tasks on time with attention to detail.

Follow operational checklists and daily duties accurately.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making

Minimum Requirements

Grade 10 or NQF Level 3 with 1 year of related work experience OR

Grade 12 (Matric) with no prior experience.

Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.

Valid South African ID or work permit.

Basic numerical skills to perform routine calculations.

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced retail environment.
