Role Overview
The Tractor Operator will be primarily responsible for operating tractors to transport equipment and grain products, maintaining equipment, and performing general maintenance tasks at the silo. This role also involves ensuring that hygiene standards are upheld and assisting with loading and off-loading of grain products.
Key Responsibilities
🚜 Transport and Maintenance of Equipment

Safely operate tractors to move equipment and grain products.

Transport and handle equipment used in the silo and other facilities.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality.

Maintain the terrain around the silo and related facilities.
🧹 General Hygiene and Maintenance

Clean and maintain the yard, bins, containers, silo, and bunkers.

Apply contact spraying for pest control as required.

Perform general hygiene functions and ensure cleanliness in the workplace.
🌾 Grain Handling and Safety Compliance

Assist in the loading and off-loading of grain products.

Fill or empty silo bags and bunkers as required.

Adhere to OHS Act, HACCP, and Food and Hygiene Safety Act 15 regulations.

Comply with the responsibilities as per the Health and Safety Act.
Qualifications and Experience

National Senior Certificate.

At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.

Technical knowledge of equipment and machinery used in agriculture.

Strong communication and technical skills.
