Role Overview

Under Armour is currently looking for a highly motivated Sales Assistant to join their retail team at Menlyn Mall in Pretoria, Gauteng. This position is ideal for students or individuals currently studying Retail Management, Fashion, Sports Management, or related fields, looking to gain valuable experience in the retail and sportswear industry.

As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining the visual appeal of the store, assisting with stock and merchandising, and representing the Under Armour brand with passion and professionalism. You will be part of a collaborative team that is driven by results, creativity, and performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend the best products.

  • Provide an exceptional in-store experience that aligns with Under Armour’s brand standards.

  • Maintain visual merchandising standards including restocking shelves, folding merchandise, and keeping the store clean and organized.

  • Stay up to date with new product arrivals, sales, and promotions to inform customers effectively.

  • Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently and accurately during customer transactions.

  • Support in receiving, unpacking, and storing inventory shipments.

  • Participate in store events, promotions, and activations that drive brand visibility and sales.

  • Uphold Under Armour’s values by promoting a team-oriented and athlete-focused culture.


Qualifications and Skills

  • A matric certificate (Grade 12) is required.

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Retail Management, Fashion, Sports Management, or related fields (advantageous).

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is an asset but not mandatory.

  • A passion for sports, fitness, and lifestyle apparel.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A proactive, energetic, and service-oriented mindset.

  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and shifts.

  • Must be a reliable team player with a can-do attitude.
