Role Overview
Senwes is seeking a highly skilled Head: Central Administration to strategically manage and optimize operations across Creditors, Payroll, Fleet, Procurement, and Carwash departments. Based at the head office in Klerksdorp, this role is critical in designing and implementing best practices, driving cost reduction, boosting profit margins, and ensuring effective internal controls across the group.
The successful candidate will lead key projects, influence enterprise-wide efficiencies, and champion technological innovation to improve service delivery, while developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Model Development

Evaluate and redesign the Central Administration division’s strategy and business models to align with best practice standards.

Conduct benchmarking, gap analysis, and process redesign across Creditors, Payroll, Fleet, Procurement, and Carwash operations.

Create and implement a long-term automation and efficiency-focused strategy.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and structural optimization.

Drive profit-enhancement initiatives within existing administrative frameworks.
Control Environment & System Improvements

Establish and continuously improve control environments, procedures, and systems.

Develop exception and auditing reports in areas with limited controls.

Monitor trends, identify inefficiencies, and ensure compliance.

Implement control best practices across departments with a focus on risk mitigation and operational integrity.
Financial Optimization

Evaluate major cost drivers and implement cost-saving strategies.

Lead post-implementation reviews to assess the success of new initiatives.

Benchmark and reposition services in Creditors, Fleet, and Procurement to ensure cost competitiveness and service excellence.

Apply innovation and teamwork to introduce automated business services.
Customer Service Innovation

Design and deliver strategies to improve service levels to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Drive the application of future-focused technologies and collaborative problem-solving to enhance service delivery.

Present research, business cases, and innovation strategies to executive management.

Manage the full Change Management Process for new models and projects.
Team & Leadership Development

Identify growth opportunities for team members and design individual development plans.

Foster a team environment that values innovation, performance, and continuous improvement.

Drive employee engagement and strategic alignment through balanced leadership and open communication.

Develop and manage succession planning across key administrative functions.
Full Operational Oversight

Provide end-to-end leadership and oversight for Payroll, Creditors, Fleet, Municipal Accounts, and Procurement functions.

Ensure tax compliance and liaison with Group Finance for all financial administration.

Lead Central Admin as a center of excellence, emphasizing customer-centric service and performance accountability.
Qualifications and Experience

CA(SA) qualification is mandatory.

Minimum 5 years’ finance-related experience is required.

Managerial experience is highly preferred, particularly in multi-functional administrative environments.

Proven ability to lead cross-departmental strategic projects.

Strong understanding of financial controls, operational efficiency, and administrative compliance.

Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills.
