Role Overview
Astral Festive is seeking a responsible and experienced Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Driver to join their logistics team in Clayville. This role is ideal for a Code 14 driver with a solid track record in operating Superlink or Interlink truck combinations and who is ready to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as part of a fast-paced and high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
-
Prepare the truck for trips, ensuring all vehicle inspections are completed thoroughly.

Operate ultra-heavy vehicles to load, transport, and offload goods safely and efficiently.

Complete trip documentation and fulfill other ancillary duties as required.

Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including safety protocols and vehicle checklists.

Maintain proper housekeeping of the truck and personal uniform/PPE.

Follow company procedures for reporting defects and emergency incidents.

Carry out supervisor instructions and demonstrate flexibility in work shifts.

Undergo and successfully complete relevant training and evaluations such as:

Medical assessments
-
USCS training modules
-
Practical driving evaluation
-
Company induction processes

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Grade 12 / National Certificate
-
Valid Code EC (Code 14) Driver’s License with PrDP
Required Experience:
-
3 years of driving ultra-heavy vehicles
-
3 years of experience operating Superlink/Interlink truck combinations
Additional Requirements:
-
Proficiency in defensive driving techniques
-
Ability to handle emergency situations and report defects
-
Familiarity with fire extinguisher use and load/offload techniques

Clean criminal record and medically fit
-
Own reliable transport to and from work
