Role Overview
As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and material planning processes within your respective category. Your primary task is to generate and optimize supply plans, including Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ensuring alignment with customer service targets, logistics, and manufacturing goals. This role involves working closely with multiple stakeholders, including procurement, manufacturing, and key business units, to drive continuous improvements in the planning process and ensure the availability of finished goods in line with the demand plan.
Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning: Develop and manage supply plans (MPS and MRP) for the assigned category. Continuously optimize the supply planning process to maintain efficiency and productivity.

Production Planning: Ensure production planning aligns with customer demand and targets, supporting finished goods availability in accordance with the demand plan.

Material Planning: Ensure efficient planning of raw materials and packaging materials (RM/PM) to maintain high adherence to the production plan.

Forecasting and Analytics: Analyze sales forecasts, inventory data, and capacity plans to support the creation of a weekly master production schedule (MPS) that aligns with customer service targets and cost goals.

Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure supply plans are optimized for on-time service and cost-efficiency.

Supply Review: Facilitate supply review forums to evaluate supply plans, identify supply gaps, and develop action plans to address any issues.

Demand-Supply Imbalances: Analyze critical demand-supply imbalances and develop various supply scenarios to support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Tool Development: Utilize and continuously improve supply planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP) to support planning and decision-making processes.

Inventory Management: Regularly review stock levels and projections to ensure inventory meets group policies and capital investment goals.

Supplier Development: Partner with procurement to work on supplier development initiatives with strategic vendors.

New Product Launches: Ensure planning and coordination with key stakeholders, including NPD (New Product Development), for the successful launch of new products.
Key Performance Metrics

Customer service satisfaction and delivery reliability

Stock cover days and value

Conformance to plan and BIAS (forecast bias)

Waste reduction, including SLOBS (slow-moving and obsolete stock) value

Development of unconstrained and constrained MPS plans for a rolling 24-month period

Optimized inventory model that aligns with group policies

Updated databases and the identification of risks, opportunities, and contingency plans
Qualifications and Experience

Education: Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Production, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience:
-
3-5 years of experience in planning, production management, or supply chain management.

Experience in the FMCG industry is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of supply planning, production planning, material planning, and the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Experience with supply chain best practices, including process optimization and technology implementation.

Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
