Role Overview:
BUCO Hoedspruit is looking for a professional and friendly Receptionist to join their team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and suppliers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a front-of-house environment, is organized, customer-centric, and able to handle both telephonic and in-person inquiries with ease. As the face of the branch, your role will help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception and Customer Service:

Manage and operate the company’s switchboard efficiently and professionally

Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate departments or personnel

Take accurate and timely messages and ensure proper follow-up
-
Welcome and assist all visitors, customers, and delivery personnel with professionalism

Handle basic customer queries and escalate unresolved issues appropriately

Ensure the reception area is neat, organized, and welcoming at all times
Administrative Duties:

Maintain reception equipment and ensure any faults are reported and resolved

Support basic administrative tasks such as filing, document sorting, and correspondence

Update visitor and appointment logs as required

Liaise with internal teams to assist in day-to-day administrative functions

Coordinate deliveries, collections, or bookings where required
-
Provide administrative support to management and sales teams when necessary
Operational Support:

Assist with general office tasks as requested by branch or operations staff

Monitor front office supplies and inform management when restocking is needed

Uphold company values through professional conduct and communication
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
-
Grade 12 / Matric
-
At least 1 year of experience in a Receptionist or administrative role

Preferably 1-2 years of switchboard experience in a retail or office setting

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
